Cork has a quality that suits warm, flowing practice: the grip actually improves as the surface gets a little damp. The Cork Yoga Mat pairs a fine-grain natural cork top with a natural rubber base for a mat that feels warm, grounded and quietly beautiful on the floor.
The cork surface is smooth to the touch rather than sticky, and it naturally resists odours, so it stays fresh between washes. Underneath, a 4 mm layer of natural rubber provides cushioning and keeps the mat firmly in place. Together they make a 5 mm mat that is comfortable for kneeling and seated work while staying stable enough for standing sequences. Each mat has its own grain pattern, so no two look exactly the same.

Care: wipe the cork with a damp cloth after practice and let it air dry flat. Roll the mat with the cork side facing out to protect the surface. Avoid oils, harsh cleaners, soaking and direct sunlight. Small variations in cork grain and tone are natural.
Good to know: this product contains natural rubber latex and is not suitable for anyone with a latex allergy. A light natural rubber scent is normal when the mat is new and fades after a few days unrolled in a ventilated room.

Care & Safety

In general: wipe yoga mats with a damp cloth and a drop of mild soap and let them dry flat before rolling; keep natural rubber and cork out of direct sunlight; machine wash removable cotton covers and textiles at 30 degrees. Only products with a natural rubber base (the Natural Rubber Yoga Mat and the Cork Yoga Mat) contain latex; this is stated on those product pages. Practise within your own comfort and, if you are pregnant or have a medical condition, check with a healthcare professional before starting a new practice. Our products are yoga accessories, not medical devices.
