A strap extends your reach so you can settle into a pose with good alignment instead of straining for it. The Cotton Yoga Strap is simple, sturdy and soft in the hand - the prop teachers most often hand out in class.
It is woven from thick, non-elastic cotton that holds a steady length and does not dig into your palms. A brushed metal double D-ring buckle lets you make an adjustable loop in seconds, ideal for binding arms in shoulder openers or securing the legs in reclined poses. Choose 183 cm for most seated and standing stretches, or 250 cm if you are tall or want enough length for looped, reclined shapes. Rolled up, the strap takes almost no room in a mat bag.

Care: hand wash in cool water with mild detergent and air dry. Do not bleach or tumble dry. Check the stitching near the buckle from time to time and stop using the strap if it shows wear.

In general: wipe yoga mats with a damp cloth and a drop of mild soap and let them dry flat before rolling; keep natural rubber and cork out of direct sunlight; machine wash removable cotton covers and textiles at 30 degrees. Only products with a natural rubber base (the Natural Rubber Yoga Mat and the Cork Yoga Mat) contain latex; this is stated on those product pages. Practise within your own comfort and, if you are pregnant or have a medical condition, check with a healthcare professional before starting a new practice. Our products are yoga accessories, not medical devices.
