Sitting comfortably is the first step to sitting still. The Buckwheat Meditation Cushion lifts your hips above your knees so your spine can rise naturally, making longer seated practice feel easier and steadier.
This traditional round zafu is filled with buckwheat hulls, which shift and settle to the shape of your body and then hold firm. A zip on the inner lining lets you remove some hulls to lower the height or keep them all for maximum lift. The pleated outer cover is made from sturdy oat-coloured cotton, comes off for washing and has a fabric handle so you can carry the cushion from room to room. It is also a handy seat for breathing exercises and the end of a yoga session.

Care: remove the outer cover and machine wash at 30 degrees, then line dry. Never wash the inner lining or the buckwheat hulls; air the cushion in fresh air now and then and keep it dry. Buckwheat hulls make a gentle rustling sound as they settle - this is normal.

Care & Safety
Each product page lists its own materials and care instructions. In general: wipe yoga mats with a damp cloth and a drop of mild soap and let them dry flat before rolling; keep natural rubber and cork out of direct sunlight; machine wash removable cotton covers and textiles at 30 degrees. Only products with a natural rubber base (the Natural Rubber Yoga Mat and the Cork Yoga Mat) contain latex; this is stated on those product pages. Practise within your own comfort and, if you are pregnant or have a medical condition, check with a healthcare professional before starting a new practice. Our products are yoga accessories, not medical devices.
